Hi, I’m Tosj, a photographer based in Antwerp, Belgium. I’d like to call myself a documentary photographer, which is a broad term, but always has honesty as a basis. I want to document the authenticity of daily life, the imperfection, which is the beauty of it. My goal is for my images to reflect that honest imperfection.
Ode to monochrome
As much as I love colour photography, I certainly love monochrome just as much. You could say that black and white limits you, but I see it as an opportunity to reveal the essence. To me, a black and white image can be just as colourful as a colour one.

I consider family photo albums to be good art; that’s what real photography means to me. A book containing moments captured in 1/125 of a second, to look back on memories and pass down to future generations.
